Today I will discuss about announcement text, do you know what an announcement is?

Announcement text is an official statement or notification in oral or written form that contains something to be known by many people. But what is meant by many people is that it does not mean that everyone who hears the announcement has an interest in the announcement made.

Announcement aims to provide formal information to the wider community about an event, job vacancies, new student admissions, new student admissions, and so on.

Features of Announcement Text

1. There is a title or an event type.

2. Use the simple present tense or you can also use the simple future tense.

3. Use a conjunction (connector).

4. There is a date, time, and place on the announcement.

Types of Announcement Text

1. Missing Person Announcement

Announcement Text Structure

1. Title

The title or title of the announcement is the most important part of an announcement because the title represents the entire contents of the announcement.

2. Explanation

Explanation is a further explanation of the contents of the announcement. Generally consists of basic information which includes: type of activity, time, place, address, participants, and contact person.

Announcement Sections
