Today i want to describe my favorite place or a place that i want to visit someday.

GRAND CANYON

The Grand Canyon or Great Gorge is a craggy canyon, formed by the Colorado River, in northern Arizona. The canyon is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is mostly located in Grand Canyon National Park; one of the first national parks in the United States. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major supporter of the Grand Canyon region, visiting it on several occasions to hunt mountain lions and enjoy the incredible natural scenery.

This canyon, created by the Colorado River crossing a strait over millions of years, is approximately 446 km long, from 6 to 29 km wide and over 1,600 m deep. Nearly 2000 million years of Earth's history have been cut off by the Colorado River and its tributaries layer upon layer of sediment as the Colorado Plateau began to rise.

The Grand Canyon was first discovered by a European in 1540, Spain's García López de Cárdenas. The first scientific expedition to the canyon was led by the Chairman of the US Geological Survey, John Wesley Powell in the late 1870s. John Wesley Powell points to the sedimentary rocks exposed in the canyon as "leaves in the great storybooks". However, long before that time, the area had been inhabited by Native Americans who built residences on the canyon walls.

This is the place that i want to visit someday, i hope i can't visit this place. Anw do you guys have a place that you want to visit someday? Let me know-!!
